Maria’s Closet is a ministry of Flourish. Nobody has to prove anything to receive clothes, and this website works the same way: it asks you for nothing. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to information when you visit or get in touch.

What this website collects
- No forms, no accounts, no comments. There is nothing on this site to sign up for or fill in, and comments are switched off.
- No tracking. There are no analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels, and the site sets no cookies for visitors. Fonts and images are served from this website itself, not from outside services.
- Security logs. Like every website, the server keeps short-term technical logs, including internet (IP) addresses, to keep the site running and to block attacks. The site’s firewall keeps its records for 30 days, and the hosting server’s logs are cleared automatically after a short time. They aren’t used for anything else.
If you text us
When you text 828-759-5888, your message goes to the people from Flourish and Trans-Action 4 Families who share that line. We use your number and what you write only to reply to you and arrange clothing. We don’t add you to any list, and we never share who contacts us.
If you give
Gifts are made on PayPal’s website, through Central District Conference (Mennonite Church USA), so this website never sees your card or bank details. PayPal shares the details of your gift with the conference so it can receipt it and keep its financial records. PayPal and the conference handle that information under their own privacy policies.
Where the website is hosted
The site is run for us by a web hosting company on servers in the United States. They store the website and its security logs in order to run it for us, and nothing else.
